Crumble the butter into the flour, add the sugar, grated lemon zest and bring the dough together with the eggs and whipping cream.
Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and cut it into diamond-shaped pieces with a rolling pin. Twist the biscuits and bake them golden in hot oil (180 degrees) - 6-8 pieces at a time. Let them drain on paper towels and sprinkle with icing sugar if desired.
